Hmmm...

This starting a blog thing is a bit harder than I was expecting! Quite a bit of time just sucked up and not a lot to show for it! I wanted it to look all pretty and stuff like the blogs that I follow before I started posting but haven't got there yet. I know myself well enough that if I wait until then I will never post anything and the blog will be another never to be completed work in progress.

I have been reading an ever increasing number of blogs for about three years now. I have thought about starting a blog for ages. I think the reason that I have finally taken the plunge is that lurking about other blogs feels so passive. I don't think that I have anything more or particularly different to say than anyone else but I want to join in. The blogs I have followed have got me interested in making stuff again. I've always made stuff - clothes for dolls when I was a kid, a few tops and things for myself in uni but haven't really done anything for a while. Its weird and kind of inspiring to come across so many people with similar interest - raising children, making stuff, op shopping.
